Sex Offense Law Attorney
Nationwide Representation
James H. Maynard, Esq. established Maynard Law Office, LLC as a concentrated practice, dedicated to sex offense law. Maynard Law Office, LLC provides legal representation across the spectrum of sex offense law, both pre-conviction and post-conviction. Mr. Maynard has argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court.
The firm has a substantial appellate practice, with a focus on “impact litigation” that benefits the entire demographic of persons affected by sex offense law and policy, in the United States and globally.
Mr. Maynard practiced as a criminal defense attorney for nearly two decades, representing individuals charged with both sex offenses and non-sex offenses. After observing first-hand the complexities of sex offense law and the need for high-quality representation in these matters, Mr. Maynard envisioned starting a practice that focused on sex offense law. Now, a little over a decade later, Mr. Maynard’s practice has evolved from a general criminal practice to one that is dedicated to sex offense law.
Mr. Maynard understands how overwhelming sex offense matters are to clients and their families. He devotes the necessary time and attention to each client’s case, and provides an honest, realistic evaluation throughout the course of his representation. As a lawyer with over twenty-five years of experience, Mr. Maynard strikes the proper balance between advocating aggressively on behalf of his clients and making careful strategic decisions to obtain the best possible legal outcomes.
Mr. Maynard serves as the Chairman of the Megan’s Law Sub-Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and as a Trustee of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers-New Jersey. He has also been invited to present at Continuing Legal Education courses, where he has lectured to other attorneys on sex offense law.
