Mr. Maynard argued two cases before the NJ Appellate Division on behalf of two registrants whose petitions for International Parole Transfer had been denied. Mr. Maynard obtained favorable rulings in both cases. The Appellate Division rejected the policy of NJ Parole to automatically deny petitions to transfer CSL/PSL to another country. Instead, the Appellate court determined that the Parole Board must consider applications for International Parole Transfer. Due to the Appeal court decision, the New Jersey Division of Parole can no longer simply deny an international transfer just because it is to another country, or even because that country is unable or unwilling to supervise you.

BEWARE:  Even a brief visit to another state or country could result in a requirement to register there.  As a result, such a requirement includes the possibility of being placed on that state’s internet registry.  If you do not comply with another state’s sex offender laws, you could face criminal charges!
